How Much Protein Do You Really Need for Fitness?

Protein, which is often as a building block of life, plays an important role in our daily diet. It is very important for the development, repair and maintenance of all tissues in the body, including muscle, organs and immune systems. Regardless of your lifestyle or fitness goals, it is important to understand the right amount of protein to maintain maximum health.

The minimum basic amount of protein

Google will open a conversion chart dialog box and there you can plug your weight in the pound. How does it look when I do my job? I currently weigh about 135 pounds, so when I plug it, I change my weight to a kilogram, which is about 61 61.2.

So the next step must be taken 61.2 kg X 0.8, which is = 48.96, so for simplicity, let’s say 50 grams. If I was a stupid person, I would need at least 50 grams of protein / day to continue my physical functions.

Have protein limits for active people

So now let’s take this equation one step further and find out how much you need if you are exercising regularly. According to the NASM Nutritional textbook, there are some different types that you can refer to deciding.

Calculating your limits

Now that you know what your weight is in kilograms, you can detect your own limits of different activity levels. Since I exercise at least 3 times a week, with the combination of cardio and resistance training, I will consider myself anywhere in the moderate category and use a 1.5 -2.0 range to calculate my daily protein needs.

Those equations look like this:

61.2 kg x 1.5 = 91.8

61.2 kg x 2.0 = 122.4

So for me, being a moderate active workout, I need my activities to keep myself fuel anywhere between 92 and 122 grams of protein daily to keep myself fuel! Keeping it easy, I just tell myself that I need about 100 / day.

How to get enough protein in a day

One of my simplest strategies to meet my daily protein needs is to try to add some protein with each meal or breakfast. Some of my favorite foods are listed below!

Disgust

  • Make a nutrient -dense protein smooth
  • Add half a scoop of protein powder to oat
  • Greek yogurt with nuts
  • Eggs with turkey bacon

Lrench

  • Inquiry chicken with a salad
  • Bone broth
  • Turkey Sandwich

Dinner

  • Chicken, stack, or salmon with rice and vegetables
  • Pepper with meat and beans
  • Take meat, beans, etc.
